An exciting opportunity has arisen in the CAS Directorate to join an established team within the Clincial Haematology Department as a full time Specialty PA on a 12 month secondment basis. Working hours will be 0900 - 1700 Monday - Friday.

The successful candidate must have proven secretarial/personal assistant experience. You will be responsible for supporting the clinical team, managing diaries clinical commitments and annual leave. You will use your judgement skills to prioritise tasks.

You will require strong communication skills as this role entails liaising with a wide range of individuals including patients, members of the public, clinical staff and managers.

You must have a good understanding of current NHS targets including 18 week Referral to Treatment and Cancer targets. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable. You must be able to forward think and problem solve.

Working with the Clinical Haematology Service will require you to work in a busy environment alongside other members of the team to ensure consistency and idea sharing. It is expected that you will have strong IT skills and a knowledge of Hospital systems including; Medway PAS, Medical Office, Notis and DHR. You must also be confident in minute taking.
