Amazon is focused on protecting the health and safety of our employees while continuing to serve people who need our services more than ever. Regular testing on a global scale across all industries would both help keep people safe and help get the economy back up and running. But, for this to work, we as a society would need vastly more testing capacity than is currently available. Unfortunately, today we live in a world of scarcity where COVID-19 testing is heavily rationed. Until we have an effective vaccine available in billions of doses, high-volume testing capacity would be of great help, but getting that done will take collective action by NGOs, companies, and governments.

For our part, Amazon has begun the work of building incremental testing capacity.

We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Operations to help expand our program within Amazon. In the role, you will be responsible for planning, roll out, adoption, and continuous improvement of the operations of our employee testing program. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous, changing environment and has experience successfully leading complex operations, hiring and managing teams, and leading by influence. You must be able to sell your vision and plan to critical stakeholders, hold your partners accountable for delivering against their goals, and dive into the details to ensure you are and your partners are measuring and delivering on business-critical metrics.

Key Responsibilities:
· Lead, oversee, plan, organize, and track the deployment and administration of employee testing in our buildings
· Own and drive the demand planning process and function, including roll out plans and clinician demand
· Own planning for clinician resources, including optimization to drive down costs and improve clinician utilization
· Develop, track, and hold building leaders accountable for performance against key metrics
· Drive continuous improvement to reduce defects and cycle time
· Work closely with the central operations teams and individual business units to ensure the program is operating as expected
· Own the building expansion plan, working with stakeholders to determine the priority and sequencing on new building and business unit on-boarding
· Drive continued growth through the deployment of innovative testing, programs, and services that enhance employee and community health and safety
· Provide thought leadership and form collaborative working relationships with partner teams across the company, acting as a strategic advisor in the development and incorporation of strategic plans and initiatives related to testing
· Own and drive a culture of quality, safety, and efficiency, ensuring you meet service levels and continually improve customer experience for your end customer and key internal stakeholders
· Lead the demand planning S&OP process
· Identify and implement continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives
· Work closely with the first party lab team to ensure sufficient capacity is coming on line to meet demand as Amazon's network expands
· The role leads the following teams: operations, S&OP, clinical operations, quality, transportation/inbound, deployment


· Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited university or college
· Experience leading teams
· Effective communicator, able to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and written.
· Experience leading complex operations roll outs
· Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques


· Degree in Operations, Engineering or related field, and/or MBA
· The ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
· Ability to be a hands-on leader that can move between long term strategy and managing day to day tactical operational challenges
