Amazon shipping offers Amazon's logistic capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping's first customers are sellers in the UK, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network.

Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an experienced leader to join the Program and Operations team. You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting large, complex cross functional programs and will have a true hands-on approach, strong program management and analytical skills, and be an effective communicator.

You will be part of the core team that will be managing the Amazon Shipping business and operations across all legs of the supply chain (first mile, middle mile and last mile). You will also be leading the development of our operational product to deliver a world class customer experience, and the design and implementation of new operating solutions to enable the delivery of strategic targets (service, growth, cost).

You will have a true hands-on approach, operational inclination, strong leadership skills and the ability to build and leverage relationships across a wide stakeholder group to generate creative solutions to industry level strategic problems. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (Directors, VPs), you need to be comfortable communicating robustly at that level whilst also working directly with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization across the Amazon business.

· Lead Ops Integration, Tech Prioritization and Tech Rollout (UAT) by working cross-functionally.
· Lead first mile supply chain planning activities, including building planning models.
· Lead optimizing middle mile supply chain costs via reduction of adhoc/cancelled loads and increasing truck fill rate.
· Spearhead Ops Process Improvement by interfacing with ACES and Quality teams, along with designing of SOPs.
· Leverage supply chain concepts and data analysis best practices to improve forecasting accuracy.
· Support configurations and network management (including new node launches/changes) for an evolving, complex supply chain network.
· Drive Labeling Improvement Initiatives (reducing auto-sort rejections).
· Manage Automated Dimension and Weight System (ADWS) deployment and usage.
· Develop granular metrics to monitor the business effectively.
· Act as the SME in Amazon Shipping Operations driving product development.


· Masters Degree in Engineering or Business Administration
· Experience of working within logistics, transportation or parcels environment.
· Experience in supply chain, performance management or program management.
· Customer focus and professional demeanor.
· Organizational skill and an operations mindset.
· An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.
· A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
· Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams.
· Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Strong presentation skills.
· Ability to travel in the EU.
· Fluent in written and spoken English.
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, Tableau and SQL.


· Master's Degree in: Supply Chain Management or Operations Research.
· Significant experience in supply chain, manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
· Experience of change management/growth environments.
· Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
