Purview of an Operations Excellence Manager
As an integral part of the European Transportation team, the Operations Excellence Manager is responsible for the optimization of the processes in the linehaul operations. The role ensures the cost effective and reliable processes within the Linehaul and in relation with the other Amazon entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding the overall EU Transportation strategy and continually identifying operational, service, and process improvements in relation to customer experience enhancement in a cost effective environment. The European Transportation team works with Amazon's Fulfilment Centers (FC), Supply Chain, Customer Service, Retail and Finance teams and externally with service providers, offering business and logistics expertise to ensure optimal delivery of service solutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Managing a team of Program Managers that are doing process improvement projects, analysts, learning and development and technology developments.
· Driving the agenda for the continuous improvement
· Develop reports with the analytic team to support service and improvement
· Systematically gather information on process issues and develop sustainable and scalable solutions and ensure that they are delivered.
· Scope out business and functional requirements for the Amazon technology teams who create and enhance the software systems and tools .
· Interacts with internal and external stakeholders and Senior Leadership to develop and manage change.


· MBA or Master's degree or equivalent with excellent academic record, with Logistics/Supply Chain/ Mathematics/Science/Engineering subjects
· Work experience in operations/supply chain/logistics/e-commerce
· Ability to prepare, report and interpret large sets of data
· Proficiency in Advanced Excel
· Excellent communication, both verbal and written as one may be required to create a narrative outlining weekly findings and the variances to goals, and present these finding in a review forum.
· Strong inter-personal and relationship-building skills.
· Experience in Project Management and driving continuous improvement projects


· Experience in a transportation operations role at a larger 3PL is a plus Experience of supply chain management and transportation concepts: forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics, delivery performance, carrier negotiation, inventory management, S&OP.
