Anglian Water has created a new deliver enterprise - the Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA). The projects purpose is to 'Make the East of England resilient to the effects of drought'. Achieving our purpose will ensure the security of water supply for future generations, over decades to come.

By delivering a smart and resilient transfer system through the delivery of Pipelines, Pumping Stations and associated structures, we will be capable of delivering large scale strategic assets and complex systems to our current asset base by ensuring that these are digitally enabled.

Essential to contributing to our ambitious and exciting ambitions is our ability to gather, manage and analyse information of our region's geography to ensure we make innovative and smart decisions. With this in mind, we are looking for a Stakeholder and Customer Professional.

This role is for our Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) with Anglian Water, based in Peterborough.

Costain helps to improve people's lives by deploying technology-based engineering solutions to meet urgent national needs across the UK's energy, water and transportation infrastructures.

What will I be doing?

What will you be doing as our new Stakeholder and Customer professional?

In this exciting and unique role, you will be responsible for delivering local stakeholder engagement and customer communication activities across SPA. Liaising with local authorities, land agents, parish councils, schools, community groups and of course our customers you will be obtaining the necessary consents crucial to successful delivery of this ambitious programme. Anticipating issues, making recommendations and acting as a conduit for intelligence to SPA and other stakeholder activities you will provide subject matter expertise to the wider Comms and Engagement team.

Key responsibilities:
  • Delivery of integrated communications programme
  • Customer, business & community engagement
  • Local engagement activities including public events, schools and colleges
  • Engagement feedback and consultation analysis
  • Providing content & materials for a range of channels in line with project narrative, key messages & brand
  • Management of comms channels
  • Logging all engagement on CRM tool
  • Adherence to customer centre & correspondence processes
About you

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours....

You will be experienced in delivering a range of communications to a variety of Stakeholder groups and used to working in a complex stakeholder environment. With specific experience of customer service alongside one or more of the following: - event management, CRM, consultation, public affairs, STEM/education, media management, graphics and websites/digital.

This role will require travel across the region and regular team meetings in Peterborough (post COVID-19 restrictions)
