Job Title - Stores Person/ Emergency Response Coordinator
Salary - £13.11 per hour **** plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location - Veolia Industrial services, Green lane, Stewartby, BEDS MK43 9LY
Hours - Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 16:00pm. Over time available.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Stores Person/ Response Coordinator to join our busy team at our Stewartby site where you will supervise the Stewarby stores and provide on-call cover as an emergency response coordinator. Other duties include:
Ensuring the smooth operation of the Stewartby stores through efficient stock control and preventative maintenance planning to ensure compliance.
Maintaining the stock of Breathing Apparatus (BA) and Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE).
Ensuring that sufficient stores of Personal Protective Equipment, tools, equipment and plant are available for the business needs of Industrial Services.
Monitoring the housekeeping of the stores, restroom, training room and outside area.
Monitoring the IS stores and immediate area, including electrical supply, water supply, diesel storage, drum storage, fire door checks, fire extinguisher checks and clear passage for escape for any issues.
Checking the security of IS buildings, including the security of vehicles parked in the yard overnight and building windows and doors.
Liaising with cleaners and laundry services for acceptable levels of service.
Controlling vehicles/trailers in the yard carrying out regular spot checks to ensure security and serviceability.
The role may require working away and travel on occasions to support the business and undertake maintenance of equipment. Transport will be provided by the business on these occasions.
The experience you will need
Full UK Driving Licence
Flexibility is required due to our on-call rota
Health & Safety trained
Ability to work well under pressure
PC Literate with a broad knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to work on your own initiative or in a team
Have a proven background or knowledge of maintaining a busy stores area as well as experience of working with Breathing Apparatus in either an occupational role or as a hobby.
