The Amazon HR team is passionate about business partnering in its truest sense. You will play a critical role in developing and delivering the HR strategy across one EU business line. You will work closely with the senior leadership teams and the wider HR team as a strong coach and partner, utilising your excellent communication and influencing skills to drive employee engagement and manage change.

As an HR Manager with a pan EU scope you will partner the senior operational team in your region operating with high levels of autonomy. You will have exposure to many different aspects of the business and have the opportunity to work on national and international HR projects.

Your focus will be aimed at delivering the highest quality service to our internal and external customers.

Main Responsibilities:
The HR Manager works as part of the regional senior leadership team, developing and delivering the HR plans whilst ensuring, the effective delivery of an excellent, customer-focussed HR service to the operations team. The HR Manager is an integral role in the EU HR leadership team. Responsibilities include:
Employee Relations & Engagement

You will lead and partner projects to develop and implement employment policies and procedures Thinking Big about any international integration. You'll Earn the Trust of Others by forming strong relationships with the business and with HR counterparts, allowing you to 'monitor the pulse' of employees and from there drive continuous improvement in engagement. Your expertise in the field will allow you to support and advise your team and your customers on complex ER cases
Performance Management, Talent Management & Succession Planning
Our continuous Leadership reviews ensures that the great people we employ are developed and grow within our business. You'll be the Leader of Talent Development across the function, you'll own the succession plan and utilise these tools and the information they generate to identify the leaders of the future - our business is continuing to grow and we want to develop our people internally. You will take on the role of a coach and will work closely with your Senior Leaders and the HR team, mentoring and supporting them in the fulfilment of their personal goals and those of their teams. Partnering with the L&D team you will identify the learning interventions required for site Management team and participate in National L&D projects and initiatives.
Recruitment and Selection

Most importantly, you'll be fair, pragmatic and commercial - someone who is proactive, who enjoys being visible and delivering tangible results to your customers and the business as a whole.


The successful candidate will be progressive, hands-on and customer-obsessed with the credibility and gravitas to succeed in a fast moving and customer-focused commercial environment. Required qualifications and skills:
· Have significant HR experience at Head of HR/HRM level
· Ability to coach and influence Senior Leaders to improve the People strategy and Associate experience in the business line
· Proven people leader and success in partnering and influencing teams locally, regionally and internationally
· Strong change management, negotiation and influencing skills.
· Have intellectual curiosity; bring valuable insight into the team / business
· Problem solving and analytical capability; experience of managing ambiguity and analysing HR metrics to find root causes and develop short, medium and long-term plan.
· Strong writing (ideally as an author or content creator) and speaking skills to communicate complex analysis/findings to senior leaders.
· Have the ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels including hourly paid
· Have a proven hands-on attitude, be flexible and adaptable.
· Able to work both on a team (as member and leader) and independently to deliver results


Preferred qualifications
· Able to work with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple and often changing priorities.
· Have lead complex change management and/or led key HR project implementation
· Strong awareness of Employee/ Industrial relations
