Reporting into E-Commerce Director at MATCHESFASHION, you will define and execute multiple strategic projects, deep dives, and pieces of analysis to supporting business growth. The priorities of our team can shift quickly depending on the overall focus of the business, and so over the course of the same week you might go from supporting in development plans to accelerate our growth profile in key international markets, to onboarding strategic partnerships, to running a piece of consumer research. You draw upon a wide range of internal and external insights and data to drive to conclusions and recommendations and work with a wide range of stakeholders to both initiate, input into, and drive projects to fruition. You are well frame in your approach and know how to balance details with simplicity always keeping a pragmatic approach to delivery.


  • A strong problem solver and business leader - ability to challenge, shape, and drive, to ensure success of multi-faceted workstreams.
  • Strategic & analytical approach to problem solving; excellent critical thinker with an ability to cut to the heart of a problem quickly.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of working with multiple (large) datasets.
  • Comfortable dealing with multiple competing priorities, ambiguous remits, and frequent changes in direction.
  • Strong stakeholder management across all levels.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Deep understanding of what drives business performance.
  • Experience in making change happen.
  • Results focused. Able to balance pragmatism with getting the right answer.
  • Passionate and intellectually curious.
  • Prior experience of working in a management consultancy firm or in a similar role elsewhere desirable.


  • Initiate, drive and /or contribute to key strategic workstreams across the business.
  • Start-up, execution and close-down of projects and programmes.
  • Develop data and insight to aid strategic decision making; efficiently analyse data and information and share insight that drives the business forward.
  • Design and run complex pieces of analysis using multiple (large) data sets.
  • Identify, analyse and monitor issues and opportunities that may affect growth, profitability, and productivity across all areas of the business.
  • Ensure the business keep focusing on the major, needle moving initiatives, in a complex, multi-facet environment.
  • Test hypotheses, look at multiple business scenarios, and reach conclusions, even where information is ambiguous or incomplete.
  • Carry out ad-hoc "deep dives" into different areas of the business to advance our understanding of customer behaviour, trends, and other drivers - and their implications.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and leverage competitor intelligence to inform our strategic direction; identify opportunities, challenges, and solutions in target markets.
  • Manage multiple priorities, flexing from problem solving to analysis to implementing a strategy to drive sales.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to solve problems and get to alignment.
  • Lead on strategic projects end-to-end, from identifying problems or opportunities through to working with the relevant teams to implement actions and solutions.
