Sheffield Children's is looking for a highly motivated leader to join the senior leadership team as Strategy Director. The post holder will have a crucial role in delivering the aims of the Trust to provide outstanding patient care, creating a brilliant place to work and being a leader in children's health.

The role of the Strategy Director is a new post and you will be responsible for the delivery of the Trust's strategic agenda and planning cycle.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to l ead on strategic developments and delivery within an ambitious Trust, working proactively with internal and external partners across Sheffield, South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System and beyond. You will lead a Partnership Team and take Trust accountability for programmes of work across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw for which Sheffield Children's is the lead provider. You will have accountability for the Trust wide Transformation Programme and lead the annual business and activity planning cycles, offering an operational perspective of the negotiation and performance management of contracts.

Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust is a dedicated Children's NHS Trust which provides integrated healthcare for children and young people, including community, mental health, acute and specialist services. We see children from 0-16 in most cases and in some cases up to 18. We provide a full range of services for residents of Sheffield, South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw as well as specialised services for patients from across the United Kingdom. Demand for our services is growing and we are increasingly delivering healthcare to patients over a wider geographical area as our reputation for providing outstanding specialist care grows. We have some of the best medical and surgical services for children in the country.

If a DBS check is required for the post you are applying for any offer of employment will be provisional on a satisfactory DBS check being obtained.

In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£45). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
