Role Title : Student Services Advisor

Location : Deeside

Contract Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary: £20,408 - £21,611

Here at Coleg Cambria, we have an exciting opportunity for a Student Services Advisor to join the team based on our Deeside site. The main purpose of this role is to deal effectively with all student enquiries, ensuring students receive an efficient and effective service.

In your role as Student Services Advisor, your duties will include maintaining the "one stop shop" for all students, including ensuring transport arrangements are in place by liaising with local LEAs, Arriva and Bus companies. You will also be required to organise transport passes for learners and ensure records are kept up to date. You will also be responsible for maintaining a solid link between Student Services and Learner Voice, ensuring that learners' opinions are listened to.

You will be required to handle all day-to-day learner enquiries and issue appropriate information in response, including face to face, telephone, online chat and email enquiries. You must be prepared to deal with all matters of enquiries including potentially sensitive or stressful scenarios. As a Student Services Advisor you will be the point of contact for providing support to our learners on welfare issues as well as providing assistance and cover at any of the college sites if required.

Essential Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C or Above
  • Minimum of Level 2 NVQ in Advice and Guidance
  • Previous demonstrable experience in a busy office environment
  • Able to demonstrate competency with a range of IT packages including Google Drive
  • Great communications skills
  • Able to maintain resilience and professionalism when dealing with people in stressful and sensitive situations.
  • The ability to work as part of a team is also essential for this role, as well as the ability to work under pressure.
