Job description

Our client-facing legal practice is an exciting place to launch your legal career. With some 3,700 plus business lawyers across more than 100 countries, we have one of the most extensive legal services networks in the world. Because of the way our business is structured, we're able to provide our clients with rounded solutions, incorporating multidisciplinary advice from our wider business areas. Working with us is not just about legal advice. It's about seeing beyond uncertainty and risk to uncover new opportunities. It's about harnessing the power of PwC's global reach, local presence and industry depth to chart a future-ready path to success. It's a unique training environment.

You'll rotate across two different practice groups, carry out research, draft legal documents and attend client meetings.

What you'll do

To get a training contract with us, you'll need to complete our Legal Summer Vacation Scheme. The two-week schemes for students run in June and July and will help you decide whether a career with us is right for you.

Do well and you'll be offered a training contract with us - the start date will be flexible where possible.

Starting out in your chosen career will be exciting, stretching and challenging. But the rewards are well worth it. If you're ready to invest plenty of effort, commitment, flexibility and passion, we're ready to give you our full support and invest in your future.

If you're working towards a professional qualification you'll have time off to study, and once you've finished the training contract, we'll carry on helping you develop your career with us. All routes offer you the opportunity to grow as an individual, to meet new people, and build lasting relationships that will stay with you for life. In return we need people who are resilient, willing to work hard, quick to learn, and who, above all, are passionate about going the extra mile to help our clients.

Our Summer Internships offer high calibre students the opportunity to experience work and life at PwC, and gain a valuable insight into our business and culture. You'll work alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. You will be doing real work on real clients so be prepared to get stuck in.

What you'll need

- We generally recruit two years in advance for trainee solicitors however we're flexible and allow applications from penultimate year (and onwards) law students and final year (and onwards) non-law students.

- You'll need to have, or be on course for a 2.1 degree or above. We determine whether you're on course for a 2.1 based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study

- A keen interest in business law.

Do you need a work permit?

Please note that PwC is unable to sponsor any candidates for the following graduate roles as the Home Office's eligibility criteria will not be satisfied. For more information visit our website.

If you are successful in completing our Summer Vacation Scheme you may be offered a legal training contract with PwC. Please review the below regarding work permit sponsorship for our two-year training contract.
