What's the role about?

We have created a new Supply Chain Planning function where our vision is to take our stock flow management to a new level as our business recognises new customer touchpoints and propositions. Our community of Supply Chain Analysts will create key data and insight. This will help inform future changes and development in our Supply Chain network. You will also help form the basis of all operational decisions made in the Supply Chain.

Why do our Supply Chain Analysts love working for us?

Our Supply Chain Analysts have the opportunity to work collaboratively across the different areas of our business creating strong working relationships. They are involved in a wide variety of areas from understanding the operational tensions emanating from channel shift within our DC network, through to evaluating future developments in our last mile propositions to our customers. Our Partners feel empowered to make the right decision which makes us a truly better way of doing business.

What will you be doing?

You will use your analytical capabilities to ensure we are best placed to make the right decisions for our business and customers backed up by the data. You will also use your business skills to communicate and influence your key stakeholders to involve them in the decision making. We are looking for Supply Chain Analysts that are able to get stuck in and flesh out the conversations taking place in our business on new customer propositions, and people who feel comfortable understanding a process and evaluating and triangulating data. You will play a key part in determining what success looks like within our Supply Chain function and helping us shape the future Partnership network.

What you'll have
  • Experience of synthesising complex and ambiguous information
  • Experience of working with Supply Chain data
  • Advanced stakeholder management skills
Please note:

  • We occasionally close vacancies early in the event we receive a high volume of applications. Therefore, we recommend you apply early
  • This role can be based in Bracknell
  • As a Partnership we will be supporting the principle of 'Blended Working' and with this is the aim to work flexibly across office and home working patterns alongside any current Government advice. Our goal is to align, as far as reasonably possible, personal choice and flexibility for our Partners with their leaders' judgement around the necessary balance of time required in the office to achieve the team and role objectives.
  • We encourage flexible working. We have a number of different ways to work flexibly, so at your interview feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you. There are no guarantees, however, examples of how our Partners already work flexibly include part-time, job share, home working and compressed hours.

We positively celebrate Diversity & Inclusion in the John Lewis Partnership. Our aim is to become the UK's most inclusive business - for our Partners and for our customers, reflecting and connecting with the diverse communities that we serve.
