Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust was rated good by the Care Quality Commission in its recent inspection report published in January 2020.

With a turnover of close to £600m, the Trust provides comprehensive secondary care and specialist services to a local population of 675,000 people across South East Hampshire. Some tertiary services are provided to a wider catchment in excess of two million people. The Trust employs over 7,300 staff and is the largest employer in Portsmouth.

Supply Chain Co-ordinator

South of England Procurement Services, the Trust's Purchasing and Supply Department needs an enthusiastic team player to join our Supply Chain Team, who provide an essential service to wards and departments, throughout Isle of Wight NHS Trust and some of its satellite locations.

Some knowledge of supply chain management and the use ofhand held bar code readers would be useful not essential, as would the use of Procurement and Inventory systems. Full training will be provided. You should have experience of working in a customer services environment and be prepared to undertake light lifting. Keyboard skills are essential.

You will have a flexible approach to work and the ability to communicate well with customers and colleagues. You will also be able to prioritise your workload whilst understanding that you will have to meet deadlines.

Whilst the South of England Procurement Services is based in Fareham, the Supply Chain Team is based at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust (St. Mary's Hospital, Parkhurst Rd, Newport PO30 5TG).
