The European Supply Chain Operations team is looking for an outstandingly talented, analytical, driven, experienced Supply Chain Senior Program Manager that can excel both at an operational level and at driving strategic initiatives with senior management. At an operational level, you will own the coordination among Amazon Operations team for special events and for the Peak period, ensuring that fulfillment readiness is covered end-to-end, from upstream Inbound channels to final customer delivery. At strategic level, you will be responsible for driving operational improvement and change initiatives in collaboration with multiple stakeholders and in alignment with senior management, including leading the long-term Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) quarterly exercise.

The primary role of a Program Manager within Amazon is to address business challenges through building a compelling case, influencing across the organization, and delivering with tenacity. Sr. Program Managers are given responsibility on their first day to own those business challenges and the autonomy to think strategically and make data driven decisions. A successful candidate will demonstrate:
· Ability to dive deep in understanding the supply chain processes and the FC operations

... as well as drive the following:
· Work closely with the EU Supply Chain team in areas including network/topology planning and design, capacity planning, inventory placement, customer experience and backlog management, continuously optimizing for customer experience and fulfillment efficiency.
· Monitor and improve the performance of the network by following and driving performance with existing metrics and developing new ones to track new initiatives.
· Continuously deep dive into data and processes to identify and eliminate wasteful elements.
· Work with the Transportation and the Retail organizations to determine future demand for Supply Chain innovations and network design.
· Manage operational issues with our fulfillment centers and retail teams, resolving operational queries in a prompt and efficient manner.
· Support process improvements in warehousing and transportation operations with analytics
· Drive EU S&OP alignment on tools, process, timelines and metrics and work across Europe in a cross-functional environment.
· Prepare operational and project updates and present to the Corporate Senior Leadership team on a regular basis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Fluent in English
· Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical area such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field and several years of industry/planning experience
· 5+ years of experience as a project/program manager
· Experience analyzing cost/benefit of proposed projects
· Experience dealing with results, metrics and data management and desire to create and build new processes
· Familiarity with supply chain management concepts - forecasting, planning, optimization, logistics - gained through work experience or graduate level education
· Strong analytical skills, including advanced Excel, and the ability to pull data and use to identify and solve ambiguous problems
· Organized, self-starter and a quick learner
· Excellent written, verbal, listening, communicating, and negotiating skills coupled with ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the company

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or Masters of Science in Supply Chain, Engineering, Transportation, or other Operations disciplines; or equivalent Masters level degree is required
· Knowledge and experience of SQL and VBA
· Experience with operations and delivery methodologies such as Lean/Six Sigma
· Successful delivery of technology solutions, and familiarity with service oriented architecture
· Demonstrated ability to think big and influence across all levels of an organization
· Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
· Must show ability to champion change and drive for improvements
