Are you excited by problem solving and working on high-profile technical services for the Mayor of London and the London Assembly? You will work in a busy environment supporting technology services in a multi-disciplinary setting across a number of sites while working with multiple suppliers, and different organisations.
The Customer Services teams is made up of the Service Desk and IT Procurement offering an end-to-end service from the initial enquiry/request to delivery to desk. The staff we support work at numerous locations, but the Service Desk is based at City Hall. There will be a requirement to provide site based support at the other sites in London and will be as part of a rota.
We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team, and understands the value of customer service, is committed to delivering a great end-user experience by meeting customer demands, resolving issues quickly and effectively, in a professional, courteous manner. The role encompasses: answering phones, emails, walk-ins, desk visits, printer maintenance, hardware/software installation. The successful candidate will have really good technical understanding of hardware, software, systems and tools, building and maintaining relationships at all levels, providing timely clear communication, producing documentation, sharing knowledge, improving service, and following best practices.
As well as the normal day-to-day activities, the opportunity exists to be involved in a variety of challenging projects, and also learn about new technology.
You will also be part of the Technology Group taking on a wide range of priority tasks to do with the delivery and support of IT services across the Greater London Authority and partner organisations, and working on a rota basis at other sites in London.
This role is based at City Hall.
