Shifts are mainly evenings and weekends

As a Support Worker/Healthcare Assistant with Leonard Cheshire you’ll provide a high level of care and support to vulnerable people, enabling them to live the life they choose. You’ll assist with daily tasks including personal care, medication and assistance at mealtimes, motivating and encouraging choice and participation.  

Experience as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or Healthcare Assistant is desirable but not essential as we offer an excellent training and induction programme to get you fully trained in your new role!

This is a temporary post until 31st March 2020, when further funding will be reviewed. We are looking for an experienced support worker to assist our weekend and evening driver enabling people from our home to access and take part in their community. You could be taking someone for a haircut, accompanying them to the pub, cinema or a concert. This service is user-led, and you will need to be flexible in your hours of work, which could vary every week. While out with people, you will be providing personal care and support, including possible assistance with medication, meals, drinks, and assistance to use the toilet.
