Our Cotteridge and Kings Health supported living schemes are now looking for a full-time support worker to join their team. This is offered on a 37.5hr week basis. You may be brand new to a career in care or an experienced, skilled and empathetic individual. Either way we'd love to hear from you.
Cotterridge and Kings Heath are two established supported living schemes. Both have strong transport links and shop facilities close by. When you join us, you will work within a friendly and longstanding team. We will ensure that you receive full training to ensure you are successful in your role and provide you with the personal protective equipment so you can perform your role safely.
Working in our team you'll be integral to helping our customers to live independently. You’ll be a real people person who likes to build strong working relationships with those you support. We’re looking for a fun-loving support worker who can help our customers with personal care, life skill and tasks such as shopping as well as supporting them through challenging times too.
As a supportive individual you will be motivated by seeing those you support develop as you work with them and you will take pride in helping them to integrate into their communities.
Displaying a can-do attitude is important to you and you will able to support your customers across a 7day rota with some sleep-ins required too. You will also be comfortable with some lone working.
Our ideal candidate will possess a passion for working in the care sector and will appreciate the importance of providing care for individuals with learning difficulties. As an individual you regularly go that extra mile whilst working as part of our team. You are confident, reliable, comfortable working with males and females and ideally hold your NVQ level 2 in care.
Experience of working with individuals who have learning difficulties would be advantageous however this is not essential as you will have access to internal training to develop you.
You will be able to demonstrate that you can keep accurate records, work with personal care plans and your application will demonstrate an awareness of your care work to date and safeguarding knowledge.
