This role is based at our Mary Street site and offered on a 27.5 hour per week basis on a Monday – Sunday rota with a shift rota pattern.

As a member of our care and support team you'll be integral to helping our customers to be independent. Based at Mary Street you will have easy access to transport links and work close to local facilities. Mary Street has 20 self-contained flats and a hardworking and approachable team who will support you when you join.
You will receive full training and personal protective equipment when you join us. Working with a variety of people you will responsible for providing personal care and administering medication and maintain support plans. You’ll also help our customers integrate with each other and support them with tasks like shopping. You'll be an empathetic individual with a natural flair in building relationships with all age groups.
If you're new to care we'll help introduce you and train you to build your experience in our sector. As a disability confident and inclusive employer we'll always be delighted to hear from you.
Our ideal candidate will possess a passion for working in the care sector and will appreciate the importance of providing care for older/vulnerable adults. We are looking for a support worker to join us who will go that extra mile whilst working as part of a team whilst also being comfortable with some lone working. If you are confident, reliable and interested in supporting people to live independently then you will play an instrumental part of this supportive team.
When you join us as a support worker you will:
- Be comfortable providing personal care to males and females
- Have experience of working with elderly people.
- Be flexible to work a variety of shift patterns during these hours including some evening, weekend and bank holiday work.
- Hold a current NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent (desirable).
- Be confident, reliable and interested in supporting people to live independently.
- Be able to establish positive relationships and a good team player.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, humour and a ‘can do’ attitude.
