Job description
Could you be our next bank housing officer helping people with sight loss and complex needs to live a more independent life?

At Swail House, we're looking for individuals who want to support independent living, create an inclusive society and help prevent sight loss.

We're looking to build our team of casual/bank staff to cover shifts when staff are away on annual leave, training days or away days

As a casual/bank housing officer you'll play a key role ensuring our tenants are safe, monitoring the fire and CCTV systems as well as supporting tenants to live independently by sign-posting queries to our partner agencies.

You will cover shifts as and when needed. Shifts run on a rota basis 8.00am - 3.00pm or 3.00pm - 10.00pm everyday

You don't need qualifications to join us but common sense and a cheerful disposition are a must

You will need to:

Want to make a difference
Be willing to learn
Have patience and be calm
Be able to work alone at times including evenings /weekends
Work as part of a team to provide excellent support to our tenants
Have good problem solving and communications skills
Prioritise your workload effectively
Experience of working in a social care or residential environment is desirable but not essential.
We'll provide you with full training. After a thorough induction, you'll shadow an experienced housing officer; enjoy ongoing training and gain lots of great experience.
