Scotland's Railway covers a large geographical area from the Borders to Thurso at the far tip of the North East of Scotland, accounting for almost 20 per cent of the GB rail network. Our network supports 2,500 passenger and up to 50 freight services operating every day and we are steadily building more capacity for this to grow. Our railway provides rapid access along busy commuter routes to our seven cities, servicing the varied needs of our business and leisure commuter services, including cross border services and rural services.
Brief Description

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Scotland's Railway Communications team as a Team Organiser.

As a Team Organiser, you will be a part of a multi-disciplined team providing communications support to key stakeholders for Scotland's Railway
About the role (External)

What to expect?

As Team Organiser you will support the whole Communications team, including owning and managing actions from team meetings, diary management, and weekly/periodic report management.

Every single day, you'll be involved in activities such as:
  • General office admin, including co-ordinating diaries.
  • Organising team meetings and the production, collation and dissemination of minutes/actions.
  • Provide a consistent telephone presence on behalf of the team delivering excellent customer service levels.

  • Utilise financial and procurement systems and act as Local Purchasing Agent (where directed) by ordering stationery and other office consumables as required.
  • Undertake the role in a way that is consistent with, and reinforces, Network Rail's values.

We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Confident working with Microsoft Office, especially teams and excel
  • Excellent time management
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) including excellent telephone manner

While it's not essential, we'd love it if you have:
  • Recognised qualification in keyboard associated skills and office management techniques
