Based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, working 37.5 hours per week, this vacancy offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and conscientious Team Secretary to work within the Surgery, Critical Care and Clinical Support Care Group.

The successful candidate will be familiar with theatre / clinic planning, have audio typing experience and extensive administrative and organisational skills with knowledge of medical terminology. Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team is desirable. You must have excellent IT and communication skills and ideally experience of working within a busy office environment.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children therefore if the post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended) the successful candidate(s) will be subject to a criminal records check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
