Technical Production Coordinator, Entertainment
An exciting new role has been created as Technical Production Coordinator at the production studio 'The Academy' for P&O Cruises and Cunard.
As a shore-based role with one direct report, you will be supporting the Operations Manager and Production Show Manager on the successful planning, pre-production and on-board delivery of all shows across both fleets.
With experience in leadership and planning, this role will be the overall coordination for the Technical Production department, so you'll look after the day to day schedule in line with the Operations Manager (line manager). On board roll outs to the fleet will also need to be planned and scheduled, as well as identifying and proactively ensuring your department are performing to standards.
As a key role within the team, you will be called upon as a knowledgeable contact for internal and external stakeholders, which may also include ensuring entertainment partner activity is effectively executed and communicated in our marketing channels.
We are looking for an individual who has experience in technical theatre. Candidates with experience and understanding of a constantly evolving entertainment product, who have knowledge and/or experience of the holiday market may find this advantageous. As well as experience or extensive knowledge of :
- Theme park or multi venue product development experience, knowledge of musical theatre and pop up as well as operational experience within the holiday or cruise industry.
- Highly creative, with an innovative approach and ability to inspire others. With an unrelenting focus on our Guest's needs they will have the ability to align the guests needs with our business commercial requirements. Strong planning and organisational skills are desirable.
- You will of course also actively promote safe working within your team and encourage safe behaviours.
We take HESS seriously. You will be expected to lead by example taking care of the health and safety of you and others; reporting near misses, accidents and incidents, and work related ill health conditions with your line manager. This role will be key to our HESS commitments, as such it will be the appointed shore side risk assessor subject matter expert where you will need to review and approve ship risk assessments.
