Technical Support Engineer
 Salary: £37,384 - £47,461
 Location: Nottingham

At E.ON we recently started selling Solar and Storage systems to Customers in the UK, we want to be the market leader and have ambitious plans to grow the business to offer Customers the best products, customer journey and support.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing and ambitious team as a Technical Support Engineer.

On a day to day basis you will be a point of contact for all our customer queries, answering and supporting with all their solar system issues and technical queries, whether this be for our Residential customers or our new build and commercial portfolio customers.

 You will also be responsible for speaking to the Solar Sales Consultants and installers to answer queries on complex and bespoke properties and deal with any technical questions along the way, ensuring on-site technical surveys and installations are completed to the highest quality and all times while also meeting our SLA

In addition to this, you will be expected to create and document technical policies and ways of working and support with any rollout or training on new processes, products and legislations when they are introduced.

This is a varied role and you will be expected to undertake additional tasks as and when required and when deemed appropriate so if you strive on a challenge this could be a great opportunity for you.

What we need from you

  • Electrical apprenticeship or similar or Energy or Technical Degree qualification.
    Experience as a residential electrician, PV installer or significant PV design knowledge.
    Practical technical solar and storage experience. Good understanding of the solar industry, both from a technical and commercial standpoint.
    Experience of residential Building Regulations.
    Experience of surveying residential properties for various energy solutions.
    Back office experience with a strong attention to detail.
    Practical SHEQ experience preferably in PV business / customer facing solutions business.
    Exceptional communication skills, as you will engage various stakeholders through the value chain, and will be comfortable in the office and on site.
    Excellent IT skills and knowledge.
    Able to provide technical training to colleagues.
    Full valid UK driving licence.
    Strong interpersonal skills – you’ll be able to develop effective working relationships across the business, in particularly the on-site sales team.
