Evolvi Rail Systems is the UK market leader in the development and delivery of online rail booking and fulfilment functionality. Reporting to the Product Manager, the Technical Test Analyst will be a key part of the team ensuring the quality of the Evolvi software. You will lead the design, production and execution of automated quality assurance plans and tests, take part in design reviews, produce comprehensive error reports, provide assistance to clients in their testing, and work closely with the development and support functions of the organisation to provide guidance to the team.

Evolvi's product portfolio includes:

- The market-leading EvolviNG self-booking tool, which provides enhanced budgetary control for rail travel through access to best available fares, bespoke travel policy and compliance setting, configurable management information, extensive cost-centre attribution, multiple booking and fulfilment channels - including mobile and e-ticketing, and real-time journey information.

- Industry-leading web services, such as Evolvi's API, which provides the UK's most configurable rail content for Travel Management Company travel portals, online booking tools, content aggregators and expense management systems.

Job Description:

What you'll be doing:
  • working with the existing team to help define and enhance Evolvi's test automation strategy
  • developing and maintaining a suite of automation tests
  • working as part of an agile team through the full development cycle
  • ensuring development tasks meet quality criteria and industry standards
  • developing a full knowledge of the functionality provided by Evolvi
  • contributing to the continual improvement of quality processes
  • investigating non-conformance issues
  • assisting in the analysis of queries raised via the Evolvi Support Team
  • supporting accreditation tasks with the rail industry and other third parties

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in software testing - planning, design, execution, control and measurement, and management of functional & non-functional testing
  • Experience with planning and creation of Automated testing - experience of Ready!API and Selenium will be useful
  • Experience of test automation in CI/CD pipelines
  • Experienced in the use of defect / bug management tools
  • Experience of XML and the testing of XML based Web Services
  • Experience of the Agile development lifecycle.

  • Load testing / Security testing experience
  • Previous experience of testing online booking systems
  • Software Testing qualifications
  • Knowledge of the travel industry - Rail and / or Online booking tools
  • Microsoft Technologies - DevOps, App Insights
  • SQL
