ITV Technology Graduate Programme
Want to kickstart your career in Tech at the UK’s biggest commercial broadcaster? Then look no further.
ITV - as an integrated producer broadcaster - creates, owns and distributes high-quality content on multiple platforms globally. We operate the largest commercial family of channels in the UK, and deliver our content through linear television as well as on-demand. ITV Technology is the key that unlocks our creativity, allowing us to make, distribute and monetise the best programmes in the UK and across the world. We are a changing organisation with some fantastics launches coming up such as Britbox and a new targeted advertising platform to name but a few.
This graduate scheme is a unique 2 year opportunity, with placements in leading technology disciplines across diverse teams. You’ll get the best training possible, on the job learning, supporting individual projects and exposure across all areas of technology to ensure that you have a rounded foundation for a career in media technology.
We enjoy what we do - innovating with technology, working with different teams, solving problems and constantly improving. If you have a passion for technology, media, and learning, then look no further!
Over 24 months, you will work closely with ITV technology departments including our award-winning ITV Hub video on demand service, our broadcast and studios areas, and key functions that all companies need from cloud hosting to finance, networks and cybersecurity. Whilst this is a London based role, you will have the opportunity to work with teams in different parts of the UK including technology colleagues in Manchester and Leeds. This is one of the most diverse technology graduate schemes in the industry and you will get a wide exposure to different roles and teams.
All of our Technology Graduates have a similar structure in the first year; time working within each of the business areas, structured training in a development language (Scala, Java or front-end), and an extended placement with one of our software engineering teams. After that, we work with each individual to put together a combination of placements, projects and learning that helps them to focus their development into a career specialism, and enables them to work towards a long term career at ITV.
Expect to gain key skills in everything from software development, product and project management, video engineering, data science, cyber security, devops and cloud - all within a creative media environment.
Video is exploding in all industries from marketing, social media and content production, to medical training in remote locations - and this makes ITV well placed to support you on your journey in this growing domain. There is no better place to get this experience than working with a vibrant industry of tech companies, media networks and agencies. So what are you waiting for?
