Hywel Dda University Health Board's ICT department has embarked on an exciting investment to refresh its telecommunications infrastructure at all its sites with the latest Mitel technologies. We require a Telecommunications Engineer to work with us to provide the day-to-day support on our telecommunications systems and to support the implementations of new systems and technologies. The role will also be the key lead for these technologies providing expert advice and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team of telecommunication technicians who provide day-to-day operational support to the Health Board and work on a range of projects. Therefore, any exposure to ITIL based best practices and PRINCE2 would be advantageous.

Educated to degree standard with evidence of professional development the successful candidate will require technical skills in the following areas:

- PABX equipment (NEC-Philips SOPHO)

- IP Telephony (Mitel 3300)

- Voicemail Systems

- SIP Protocols

- Call logging / recording / directory systems

- Paging systems

- Switchboard consoles / contact centers

- Basic LAN/WAN technologies

- Microsoft Teams voice

The successful candidate will be required to participate in the Health Board's on-call rota providing 24x7 support.
