This role forms a key component of the policy management process for UHS, ensuring that accurate and relevant guidance is available to all staff. The ideal candidate will be process orientated and have a keen eye for detail.

The Trust Documents Manager role sits within the Trust's Corporate Affairs team, responsible for good governance and compliance with national standards. The team work a standard 37.5 hour week Monday to Friday. The post will report to the Governance and Risk Manager for the Trust

The role will be a central point for advice, communication and information on Trust documentation and will support in embedding the Trust Document Management Policy. Prepare reports for the Trust Board and sub groups, and ad-hoc as required for the CQC, relating to document management.

You will work closely with Head of Compliance, Divisional Governance Managers, clinical and corporate leads to ensure that there is a co-ordinated approach to the document management system, to make the end-user's experience as easy as possible. You will oversee the Trust document management system and develop and manage a system for the timely review of all existing policies.


The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within quality and/or governance, in an administrative or project support capacity. Further, will have experience working in a healthcare setting and communicating across professional boundaries; clinical, managerial, administrative, etc.

Strong word processing and data management skills are essential. The Trust uses Microsoft Word and Excel for these purposes.
