You'll focus on designing, developing, and implementing communication programmes and media events to promote and sell the PwC's brand and services as well as contribute to and evaluating our pricing strategies in the marketplace.Our team is a client focused group that is responsible for positioning the PwC brand and driving long term growth. You'll work with sales and marketing teams to drive consistency in executing our client relationship, and business development strategy, as well as driving our sales framework to help deliver value on key business initiatives.

About the role

  • The Alliance Lead role is a go-to-market / commercial Director position accountable for driving and executing the Alliance strategy for the UK firm
  • The role works closely with the Alliance Leadership to develop the Alliance strategy and execute into the market including defining its operational and commercial goals and objectives
  • The role also establishes the operational rhythm and coordinates the programme execution across the Alliance portfolio, ensuring cohesive processes, communication, reporting, and awareness across PwC Lines of Service (XLOS)
  • The Alliance Lead Director works closely with Alliance practice teams to drive and execute programme goals, focusing on efficiency and overall market impact and go-to market success as part of the business strategy Director population in Sales and Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Designs and drives execution of programme and go-to-market strategy across PwC Lines of Service while collaborating and working closely with UK Alliance leaders and drivers
  • Shapes the overall commercial strategy for Alliances and works with individual sponsors and drivers to set targets and drive the execution
  • Embeds the Alliance commercial strategy in the firm's wider go-to-market, working alongside other sales and marketing teams to achieve this
  • Provides visibility to leadership around accurate pipeline & results dashboards that communicate to key stakeholders the effectiveness of the Alliance programme & investments
  • Drives the successful and timely execution of specific initiatives articulated in the UK programme's annual strategic plan
  • Coordinates & consolidates planning activities across the UK Alliance portfolio - consolidation of target industries including Alliance specific per sector with partner accountability, XLOS GTM Alliance play, big bets etc.
  • Leads on core UK programme Alliance operations to drive and execute consistently across the UK, including:
    • Manages UK Alliance program reporting; drives alignment and consistency in UK Alliance metric tracking and provides appropriate monthly reporting to the Alliance teams and leadership
    • Drives the creation of internal and external messaging / awareness of alliance related activities
    • Manages internal communication and awareness channels such as Connected Source and Google Drive
    • Introduce quarterly Alliance scorecard - including analyst rating / measurements against PwC & Alliance partner metrics

  • Envisions, develops, and leverages standardised tools, templates and best practices to be disseminated across the UK portfolio
  • Coordinates necessary activities with other enabling groups to ensure successful program delivery and integration, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, L&D, HR, R&Q, Communications, and others
  • Drives the programme's awareness and adoption related to firm wide initiatives and change management
  • XLOS enablement around Alliance / technology tagging in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Works with Alliance leaders and teams to remove program-wide roadblocks
  • Reports programme status to Executive Sponsors, Alliance Partners, and Program Leader
  • Contributes significantly to the Global Alliance Program initiatives and operations
  • Leads and has accountability for the Alliances ISPR process including response to feedback
  • Responsibility for the Alliance central repository - assets / accelerators catalogue, citations (UK, EMEA, Global), Alliance contracts

Requirements

  • The jobholder must possess excellent commercial and business acumen, communication skills and gravitas with senior stakeholders, both Alliance partners, clients and senior PwC management, as well as demonstrating a thorough understanding of the strategic and commercial business drivers for the firm and for our clients
  • Experience in finding and converting large Alliances-based deals by working together with Alliances and practice leadership
  • Strong leadership and people management experience. Leading, motivating, developing and coaching diverse Sales and/or Marketing teams. Needs to bring energy, enthusiasm and drive.
  • Proven experience of creating and leading integrated sales & marketing strategy in the context of business strategy
  • Resilience and ability to lead through change
  • Strong knowledge of best practice sales and marketing and go-to-market strategy design and execution
  • Background & experience in professional services, financial services and technology would be advantageous
  • Team player; able to actively contribute and participate as a member of the Business Strategy capability
  • Client facing business development experience, with a proven track record of relationship management and revenue conversion preferably across an Alliance portfolio
