In May 2020, King's Mill Hospital, where 90% of our services are based, was rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission and is the only Outstanding hospital in the East Midlands. Newark Hospital and Mansfield Community Hospital are both rated Good and all 15 of our services are rated Good for Safety with five Outstanding services.

The overriding purpose of the role is to support the provision of the highest quality patient care through personal actions and continuous improvement.

The role involves overseeing the management of the Waiting List service at King's Mill and working closely with Newark waiting list team on a day to day basis and ensuring that all admissions are booked in keeping with all local and national waiting time guarantees so that waiting list/times and targets are met. In particular, to ensure that staff are proactive in managing the monitoring and achievement of the 18 week target.

Knowledge requirements include:

Knowledge of the NHS, Medway computer skills, ability to interpret/analyse data, ability to use spread sheets, confidentiality procedures, understanding of modernisation and targets affecting theatres.

Experience of waiting list management is required.
