Employer: Department: Administrative Services Location: John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford Salary: £18,005 - £19,337 £18,005 - £19,337 per annum/ pro

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.

The Trust comprises four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury.

Our values, standards and behaviours define the quality of clinical care we offer and the professional relationships we make with our patients, colleagues and the wider community. We call this Delivering Compassionate Excellence and its focus is on our values of compassion, respect, learning, delivery, improvement and excellence. These values put patients at the heart of what we do and underpin the quality healthcare we would like for ourselves or a member of our family. Watch how we set out to deliver compassionate excellence via the OUH YouTube channel.

Many of our recruitment programmes use V alue Based Interviewing to identify those who have the skills we seek, who share our values and who are able to deliver compassionate excellence from the outset. We know that this makes a significant difference to your job satisfaction and above all the outcomes and experience of our patients and their families.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to become part of a friendly team of ward clerks based within the Surgical Emergency Unit, on ward 6E. The successful applicant will be required to work weekday shifts as part of the administration team to ensure the smooth running of SEU. The post holder will provide excellent customer care that demonstrates a caring and responsive approach to those attending the hospital, be able to accurately record and input data into the Trust's EPR system in a timely manner and file departmental records containing sensitive patient information while maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

You should enjoy communicating with a wide range of people, be highly organised and have a flexible approach to work. Attention to detail and good keyboarding skills are essential.

As a new member of the team, we offer a supernumerary period of training to help you settle in. We are committed to staff development and we will help you develop your skills for the role, as required.
