What You Will Do

This role is multifaceted, managing Warehouse and Facilities. This will involve leading the warehouse team to deliver the warehouse operation, meeting all customer service requirements while continually improving cost efficiency and quality of service in line with our goals and targets. Within this role you will be involved in:

Warehouse Management
  • Day-to-day management and planning of the inbound and outbound operation, ensuring all stock is received, booked in, and orders despatched within cut-off times.
  • Manage the daily operational requirements of the warehouse, ensuring all procedures are implemented.
  • Measure and manage productivity.
  • Maintain cost control measures to ensure that targets are met.
  • Maintain stock integrity and stock counting to ensure all inventory control measures are maintained.
  • Manage all Health & Safety obligations, and ensure that the Group Health & Safety policy and local company procedures are implemented in the warehouse
  • Ongoing engagement and development of a proactive Health & Safety culture within the organisation.
Van Fleet Management
  • Day to Day Management of van service which provides a twice daily delivery service to customers in the Dublin area
  • Maximise efficiencies in route planning
  • Ensure delivery KPI's are met for the van service
  • Measure and monitor van costs
Facilities Management
  • Co-ordinate working hours with the Warehouse Team Leader to facilitate operating hours, currently 7:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., and to facilitate warehouse supervision in the business.
  • Maintain the building to full operational readiness and respond to emergencies accordingly.
  • Manage and submit budgetary requirements for ongoing & future maintenance programs.
  • Manage and monitor the waste and environmental regulations adhering to local legislation.
  • Manage building projects and coordinate the work of contractors, ensuring both SLA's and Health & Safety requirements are met.
What Will You Bring To the Role
  • A proven track record in supervisory experience within a warehouse operation
  • Demonstrated strong people management skills within their roles
  • Strong commercial, analytical and communication skills, with ability to explain tasks in an efficient and effective way
  • Experience in facilities and contractor management
  • Experience in managing facilities budgets
  • Excellent management skills for projects and external contractors
  • Self-motivation, and flexibility with regards to working hours
  • Results orientated focus and a proven ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong office PC skills
  • Experience with SAP would be a distinct advantage
