The Trust's main hub is the Queen Alexandra Hospital, which started life more than a century ago as a military hospital. Today it is one of the largest, modern hospitals on the south coast, with 1,200 beds housed in light, bright, infection resistant, en-suite wards. With a turnover of close to £600m, the Trust provides comprehensive secondary care and specialist services to a local population of 675,000 people across South East Hampshire. Some tertiary services are provided to a wider catchment in excess of two million people. The Trust employs over 7,300 staff and is the largest employer in Portsmouth.

Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust is embarking on an exciting project to replace and introduce new workforce planning and management tools to be utilised across the organisation.

A Workforce Systems Implementation Team has now been created to deliver and work with all levels and staff types with a new position in the team now available.

Having knowledge and experience of any rostering/scheduling/timetabling software would be an advantage but is not essential as full systems training will be given to the implementation team however strong skills with MS Excel .

Do you have strong organisation and systems administration skills?

Experience of working on a project implementation team?

Do you have first class customer service skills?

Do you have excellent communication skills and able to explain sometimes complex responses remotely via phone and email?

If so, we would like to hear from you.

Working closely and supporting the whole Workforce Systems Implementation Team, you'll be making sure the systems are maintained and the staffing data held within is kept up to date. You'll also be supporting the Systems Implementers to gather information and prepare them to continue and keep on track the roll out plan. In addition, you'll be the primary contact for teams actively using the systems responding to queries via phone and email to help and guide them with use and promote best practice.
