2020 has brought a significant amount of transformation and change to the NHS and the journey hasn't ended yet. We have a complex but exciting period of transformation ahead of us to ensure that our services meet the needs of the Hywel Dda population and because of this we are looking for new talent to join our team.

As part of our on-going commitment to the delivery of high quality, reliable services for our patients, an exciting opportunity has arisen in the Scheduled Care Directorate within Hywel Dda University Health Board. Our transformation plans encompass service delivery improvements including digital platforms for patient consultations and clinical redesign projects. The WPAS Pathway Trainer role provides an ideal opportunity to work with clinical and non-clinical teams to help re-design and deliver transformational change in the way we provide care to our patients and improve the working lives of our staff.

You will be responsible for supporting the WPAS Pathway Coordinator in managing the delivery of WPAS training across the Health Board which will also support the delivery of our digital strategy, driving innovation around moving services online and implementing technologies that will drive efficiencies and better engagement for our services and community.

Working to support the WPAS Pathway Coordinator you will be working on the Outpatients Improvement Programme as part of the WPAS Programme. You will be involved in identifying and managing project risk, maintaining project plans and providing regular and accurate reports to senior colleagues, as appropriate. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and raise your profile across the Health Board, and enhance your understanding and practical application of planning, design, engagement, collaboration, service improvement and overall skills in change management.

You will have experience of working within an acute NHS hospital setting; be dynamic, able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities. You will be a team player and able to work with senior managerial and clinical staff, having excellent interpersonal, communication and IT skills.

The post is fixed term / secondment post until 31st March 2021 and provides extensive opportunities to work on service improvement projects. This is a challenging but exciting position and lots of support is available within the Directorate in order to succeed and progress in your career.
