  • Represent the interests of the UK’s health and protection markets to key stakeholders (government, regulators, the third sector), in the media, and by speaking at conferences and events.

  • Lead the work of the Health & Protection Board, an ABI Board Committee, and ensure we advance credible positions which reflect the views of members and their impact on consumers.

  • Cultivate strong and enduring relationships with senior member executives in the health and protection markets, as well as other stakeholders.

  • Line manage, develop and motivate a small, high-performing team.

What skills do you need?

  • Strategic thinking - you identify and act on emerging opportunities, challenges and risks.

  • Lobbying and influencing – you can win the trust of senior people and argue persuasively to deliver strategic objectives.

  • Relationship management – you work collaboratively and build close and enduring relationships with decision makers and colleagues to build support for the ABI’s policy asks and get things done.
