We are looking for a Transport Compliance Manager to join the Amazon Freight Partner team and look after our fleet in the North of the UK. You will learn logistics from one of the world leaders in this field and will have the flexibility to design your own career path.
Key job responsibilities
- Define the Carrier Growth strategy to transform the current transportation environment in line with programme strategy.
- Build and maintain best in class support for Linehaul Service Providers with scalable tracking process.
- Partner with cross functional stakeholders to promote a culture of professional service.
- Support the growth of Amazon transport network.
- Ensure all the processes are compliant with local regulations and standards.
- Identify, develop and improve strategies for the Amazon Freight Partner onboarding and training process.
- Look at continuous improvement while these businesses scale up.
- Provide reports to leaders of health and training proficiency on regular basis (using Excel, Access, SQL and or other data management systems).
A day in the life
Engaging with Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Freight Partners Face-to-Face and telephone/video calls. Discussing and coaching them around Legal compliance, Safety & Operational Performance, as well as managing them in line with Service Level Agreements.

The Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) Team handles the Middle Mile transportation network for Amazon, ensuring that the customer orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, AFP is continually striving to innovate and provide best in class experience through the introduction of new products and services in the middle mile space. The Team's main objective is to take Entrepreneurs with little or no Transport experience and turn them into the most compliant HGV operators in the UK Transport Network.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Haydock, GBR | Leeds, GBR
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Management Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
- A degree or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant Transport Management experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- IOHS certification or equivalent in Health & Safety.
- Advanced Excel skills
