  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G plc's operational risk.
  • Conduct process walk-throughs to document, assess and identify the process flows, risks and controls, with key operational resilience metrics.
  • Maintain the group controls library, providing check and challenge to the business on the controls and their adherence to the Internal Controls standards.
  • Deliver reports on processes to support the risk standards on processes, risks, controls and controls assessments.
  • Support the group-wide process attestation and control assessments processes.
  • Support the enterprise-wide risk reporting on process, risks and controls, with initiatives to improve data quality.
  • Support the identification and delivery of process efficiencies and improved ways of working for Risk and Compliance processes, optimising use of the internal Risk Management systems.
  • Oversight of adherence to processes, policies and procedures to meet risk requirements, supported by the appropriate monitoring and reporting procedures.
  • Use of regulatory knowledge, business understanding and expert judgement, to quickly identify underlying issues and escalate issues, where appropriate.
  • Work with colleagues across locations within the Risk and Compliance function and the wider Business to ensure that M&G Plc and its subsidiaries operate within an effective risk management framework.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of methodology across Risk and Compliance and work flexibly in support of the wider Risk and Compliance agenda.
  • Communicate effectively and confidently with the Chief Risk & Resilience Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Risk & Compliance Senior Management Team and agree reports in a timely fashion.
  • Compliance - To understand and adhere to M&G plc's Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies. This includes completion of any mandatory training requirements.
