At dunnhumby, we're looking for a talented Market Intelligence Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the newly launched Tesco Media and Insights Platform and help define the future of Retail Media with the support of the UKs largest Retailer.

You will identify the best sources of growth for the business through ongoing assessment of market trends and spend data. To equip the Client Development and Sales team with a clear understanding of which clients should be a focus and why. Provide insight and rationale into lower spending accounts with opportunities for improvement. Ensure that key industry, category and agency trends are incorporated into our strategic planning responses by working closely with the Strategic Planning and Agency teams, being available to produce bespoke market intelligence as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear articulation of sources of growth, setting benchmarks by category and by CPG. Identification of specific growth opportunities by category and individual client.
  • CPG segmentation growth analysis and identification of priority growth clients to include factors such as Ad:Sales ratio benchmarking, % trade spend, total media spend, competitor benchmarking.
  • Network mapping to include analysis of the breadth and depth of Tesco Media's engagement across the CPG's business, particularly Marketing and Commercial. Consistent finger on the pulse to analyse how CPGs are adapting organisationally to create best in class retail media expertise so we evolve our client servicing model accordingly.
  • Identify growth trends in the market, for example categories or sub-categories experiencing strong growth or channels seeing particularly strong performance.
  • Assessment of and contribution to industry reporting such as spend analysis and RMN scorecards.
  • Macro analysis of retail media competitor strategies and industry engagement.
  • Macro trend analysis of critical and emerging client needs to feed back into the development and evolution of our propositions, products and services.
  • Bespoke market intelligence as required - for example to support the Agency team in an agency holding group negotiation or produce category intelligence for a strategic planning response.
  • Conduct bespoke research and analysis to support the development of Propositions and Products.
You will have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. retail management, knowledge management or related discipline)
  • Experience and knowledge of the media landscape, having experience of market intelligence or analytics roles
  • Research and analytical capabilities, trend analysis
  • Knowledge of key industry and dh planning tools
  • Actionable insight creation, and modelling expertise
  • Experience working with SharePoint Online, Office 365 and MS Teams
