  • Provide second line oversight of financial, regulatory, statutory, operational, financial crime risks across M&G Global Services, including third party suppliers, change and transformation through continuous monitoring of policy compliance and conduct reviews of key controls to mitigate the top risks, including identification of control gaps and deficiencies and development of remediation plans
  • Support the embedding of the delivery of the regulatory and operational risk processes as per the M&G plc Integrated Control Framework - Risk and Control Self-Assessment, Key Control Assessments, Key Risk Indicators, Notifiable Events, Risk Acceptance, Emerging risks, Compliance Manual attestations, etc.
  • Provide Risk and compliance oversight, assurance and guidance to Digital projects across M&G Global Services where required.
  • Provide support in investigating potential incidents such as data loss or fraud
  • Carry out monitoring reviews and reviews on the effectiveness of the controls operating at M&G Global Services, with clear and concise reporting of the results of the monitoring activity to the Management team, other functions and senior management in M&G Global Services.
  • Oversight and challenge of the M&G Global Services Risk Register, including risk identification, assessment, measurement and action tracking; considering risk events, business developments and emerging risks
  • Oversight of adherence to processes, policies and procedures to meet risk requirements, supported by the appropriate monitoring and reporting procedures
  • Produce enterprise wide risk reports against risk appetite for senior management, boards, committees, and regulators as applicable highlighting risks, issues, control failings and identifying areas for management action. Provide meaningful oversight and challenge to Risk and compliance reports to ensure consistency, completeness and clarity of message
  • Research on key industry and market trends, producing reports assessing risks and opportunities, producing analysis, examining financial data, company strategy and key company, regulatory and industry developments to draw out insights and trends
  • Use of regulatory knowledge, business understanding and expert judgement, to quickly identify underlying issues and escalate issues, where appropriate
  • Work with colleagues across locations within the Risk and Compliance function and the wider Business to ensure that M&G Plc and its subsidiaries operate within an effective risk management framework
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of methodology across Risk and Compliance and work flexibly in support of the wider Risk and Compliance agenda
  • Communicate effectively and confidently with the Risk & Compliance Senior Management Team and agree reports in a timely fashion
  • Compliance - To understand and adhere to M&G plc's Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies. This includes completion of any mandatory training requirements
