An Overview of the Role

In a world of globalisation and constant innovation, organisations need to stay one step ahead and their business structures are facing an ever-changing technological and socio-economical paradigm. We empower our clients to achieve high performance from emerging technologies.

In your role you will engage with a range of clients to help develop financial models and business cases that inform and support some of their largest digital and strategic transformation programmes. Through enabling clients to succeed, you will help Capgemini Invent to maintain its position as the market leader in Digital Transformation consulting.

You will provide robust quantitative and qualitative analysis, to drive optimal decision making and present a compelling case for change. Furthermore, you will be expected to support Capgemini's internal business development in this space through upskilling colleagues, developing important collateral, and supporting the proposition's business development across the private sector.

Why This Role

With rapid growth across many of our sectors, we are looking for a talented Senior Consultant to join our Enterprise Model & Strategy Team, with a specific focus on contributing to the development of our Financial Modelling and Business Case capability.

You'll bring your delivery experience, communication and stakeholder management skills to support our clients in building compelling cases for change, realising benefits and identifying future opportunities. You'll be responsible for building lasting client relationships, working closely with clients, often taking an agile approach. In addition, you will also contribute to the internal development of our Financial Modelling and Business Case proposition and get involved in the running of the Enterprise Model and Strategy Team, such as supporting our recruitment efforts and deliver training to fellow colleagues.

As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:
  • Business Development - Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution - Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development - Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications and other areas.

We'd Love to Meet Someone With

You will bring experience of developing and delivering financial modelling and business case development from a range of clients and industries as well as an agile mindset with an understanding of relevant tools and techniques. You will be required to work and communicated at all levels of an organisation to deliver strategic transformations for the client, from technology implementations that change the way the company operates, to defining a new function that will deliver against their vision.

You'll have a good grounding in some or all the following areas:
  • Experience & Qualifications: Accounting/Finance qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CFA or equivalent) are preferred but not essential.
  • Business Case Development: Ability to present complex commercial information in a clear and concise manner that results in the delivery of a strategic and/or detailed business case design.
  • Financial Modelling: experience of developing financial models to appraise an investment, including the calculation of NPV, IRR, Payback Period as well as sensitivity analysis.
  • Communication: Experience of communicating complex financial information to a C-Suite audience
  • Strategic thinking: Working collaboratively with team members and clients to rapidly understand and define business challenges and potential solutions. Ability to shape and solve problems using a fact-based approach to drive our insight.
  • Analytical Skills: Developing and presenting meaningful and practical insights and recommendations, based on robust evidence, and that can stand up to client scrutiny.
  • Developing and Delivering Solutions: Leading and planning the execution of overall work stream(s) necessary to the delivery of the programme in line with the appropriate methodology. Contribute to the redesign activities of how services should operate to optimise the customer experience by embracing digital capabilities.
  • Application of relevant Tools and Techniques: Business architecture, capability mapping, organisation sizing, governance, role design, development of business cases, requirements gathering, customer journey mapping, process mapping, agile methodologies, and Lean techniques.

To be successful you will be highly motivated, a self-starter, bring a proactive and can-do attitude to project delivery. You will be capable of working independently as well as in teams in our collaborative but sometimes demanding project environment. You will need to be credible and be able to effectively engage with stakeholders from all levels of an organisation, on a peer-to-peer basis. You will enjoy managing a team, providing direction, and supporting others around you. You will have a strong desire to continue growing and to develop those you work with, both clients and Capgemini Invent employees. You will model our values and behaviours and demonstrate consulting professionalism and flexibility - you will be able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity.
