Role Description

We are currently recruiting for 2 new Motor Claims Handlers to join our team in Birmingham.

The Details:

As a Motor Claims Handler you will play a critical role in giving our customers confidence in tomorrow. You'll take ownership of their case and support them following a motor vehicle accident through investigating, negotiating and settling their claims while providing the high standard of customer service we're known for.

Each customer is different, as is the impact they'll feel following the accident. You'll need to:

  • Provide a friendly and personable customer journey;
  • Stay calm and patient when dealing with challenging and emotional situations;
  • Be proactive and able to guide the customer through their claim;
  • Be eager to develop your knowledge in order to make the best decision for the customer;
  • Be a team-player and collaborate with other teams, departments and suppliers;

Our working hours are Monday - Friday between 8am and 6pm (37.5 hour per week)

The role will be office based for the period of training and once fully trained you will be expected to work in the office 2 days a week the remaining 3 days working from home.

Competitive salary £24219 - £28000 (dependent on experience) plus annual bonus

About You

  • Previous Insurance, customer service or telephony experience is desirable - but we'll make sure you're fully trained.
  • You have a 'can do' attitude, flexible approach, passion for doing a good job, you're performance-driven and a team player
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Digital competency and a willingness to embrace change
  • Excellent communication and empathy skills
