Support the defining, development, and delivery of both the overall Space functional and Clothing & Home Space transformation strategies. Work with the Head of BU Space Planning to partner with BUs to develop and deliver the BU Space Strategy with accountability for holding ownership for all BU space allocation, the seasonal and AYR space use, creating opportunities to drive store or category performance in sales, margin, and controllable contribution. Owning all change; from BAU seasonal change to retail trading, to projects; from conceptualisation to in-store delivery.

Leads a specialist team to deliver merchandising to space planning & grading and micro-space planning. Work with peers to ensure all space use, drives store performance

What you'll do

Your key accountabilities will include
  • Works with the Head of BU Space Planning to build and deliver progressive, compelling space propositions, identifying £300m of sales opportunity from Business, Space and BU Strategies to establish the target "value bank" for delivery across all store change across the 3YP
  • Ensures the delivery of OBW in all processes - creating best practice (harmonised across all parts of BU Space Planning) with other Managers. Continually refining processes, challenging ways of working not adding value to ensure we are collectively working as effectively as possible.
  • Input into the E2E transformation programme and new systems development where required
  • Actively challenges and promotes the dynamic use of space, generating ideas that enable flexibility, seasonal shifts where there is obvious opportunity
  • Owns the "Space to Stock Efficiency" and space productivity ambitions through effective allocation of space and harmonisation of stock width, depth, space sq ft, linear, fixture design, use and planning, with VM for their BU
Who you are

Your skills and experience will include
  • Ability to initiate, build and maintain positive relationships and influence at all levels in the Support Centre and Stores
  • Outstanding understanding of the Space/Merchandising critical path, process flows, competencies and activities
  • Expert knowledge of the Space and Merchandising systems across the E2E
  • All relevant Clothing & Home, Space & Retail reporting, and merchandising systems, specifically: JDA floor-planning, RP, MP, GMOR, PowerBI
  • Knowledge of merchandising operations processes
