Job Title: Assistant QC Manager
Reports To: QC Manager
Location: Leeds
Job Grade: P2
JOB PURPOSE
You'll be responsible for delivering quality control processes for Branded Entertainment and Digital Original video deliveries. You'll be responsible for quality control, testing and feeding back to producers on the technical requirements and edit quality to make sure our Channel 4 brand is adhered to and social platform standards are met.
Your attention to detail and ability to work to schedule and deadlines will be essential, as will your ability to lead on communications with a wide variety of people both internally and externally.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
From September 2023, C4 has operated a 60/40 working pattern, equating to three office days per week.
Having everyone in the office three days a week gives us more opportunity to build our high performing, inclusive culture; to collaborate and to learn and share with each other, as well as helping to coordinate a regular pattern of home and office working days.
Employees then have the flexibility to decide where they spend the rest of the working week.
All our offices are open five days a week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You'll be responsible for reviewing original video content and checking againstagreed quality matrix
- You'll be responsible for ongoing communication with external production companies - giving feedback to producers to allow them to improve orcomplete their work.
- You'll contribute to the continuous improvement of quality in edit
- You'll be required to complete required documentation for all projects, Monday.com,schedules and workflow tools
- You'll work within, and stick to delivery deadlines and communicate those to external suppliers.
- You'll sometimes have to get into the edits and make changes and will have the skillset to be comfortable doing so.
- You'll be responsible for leading on all QC projects assigned to you andyou'll be responsible for communication across projects.
- You'll be required to work to deadlines effectively and deliver content ready forpublication on agreed dates.
- You'll be expected to train external editing teams how to use C4 toolkits, adhere to our guidelines and liaise with key stakeholders throughout projects when required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- You'll have a sharp-eye for video and sound QC and be able to spot errors or branddiscrepancies and give and receive feedback under pressure with fast turnarounds
- You'll need to learn and be up to date with C4's and 4Studio's brand guidelines andformatting and consistently implement them.
- You'll need to learn and be up to date on social media platform best practice andvideo specifications.
- Must be confident in a group environment and be comfortable leading conversations with senior commissioners, producers and production company owners.
- You need a strong understanding of the Adobe CC Suite - including file formats,codecs, media ingesting and digital distribution.
- You'll need to have a strong understanding of Adobe's Essential Graphics toolkits and be the port of call for any Adobe troubleshooting.
- Must have a strong understanding of post-production processes eg. exporting and delivering assets to a variety of technical specifications
- A strong awareness of best practices across multiple platforms is essential.
- You'll understand editing workflows, techniques and technical specifications
- You will be required to manage the sometime competing demands of key stakeholders. Cool under pressure and able to work to deadlines.
- Must have a strong understanding of processes, tools and methodologies.
