When you join our team as a Customer Delivery Driver Installer Trainee we will train you to deliver and install a wide variety of products in our Customers’ homes with the outstanding service that our Customers expect and trust. Job Requirements

Our Installer Trainees work 4 days out of 6 which means you have 3 days off in the week to maintain a healthy work/life balance. We also offer overtime when required (within Driving Regulations) so there is potential to top up your earnings. Please find attached an example rota of your working week to help you see yourself in this role. 

A typical day as a John Lewis Driver Installer Trainees will involve: 

  • Planning your schedule for the day 
  • Completing approximately 20 deliveries to our Customers’ homes 
  • Carrying out a complex installation in a Customer’s home 
  • Completing bespoke training – enabling your progression and increasing your earnings.

Required essential experience skills and qualifications

You must hold a valid:
  • 7.5t UK driving licence (maximum 6 points) 
  • Drivers Qualification Card (DCPC) 
  • Tachograph Card 
  • Experience of driving a commercial vehicle of 3.5t or above 
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English – over the phone and face to face 
  • Be passionate about delivering outstanding customer service 
  • Be professional, confident, polite and friendly 
  • Have a smart appearance 
  • Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role, heavy lifting involved 
  • Basic understanding and ability to use technology

Required desirable experience skills and qualifications

This role requires the following pre employment checks:- 
  • DVLA 
  • Basic Criminality
