Duties & Responsibilities
To manage all aspects of a Warehouse Operation including receiving, storage, despatch, stock and systems management,
gift list operations, linking operation to John Lewis Department Store, Customer Collection Points, internal and external post at a given John Lewis site ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service through achieving or exceeding all relevant KPI’s and Partnership expectations.
Managing a single shift of a 3 shift operation (06:00 - 14:00 and 14:00 - 22:00, core day 08:00 - 17:00) reporting directly to a site manager. Flexibility in working hours will be required in order to fulfil the customer proposition.
This role has head of branch, out of hours and key holder responsibility so you will be accountable for the business continuity procedure for the
site during these times.
Required to be cross functional across all operational areas within the site including Customer Delivery and Administration Support.
Acting responsibly in line with Corporate Social Responsibility commitments and waste management for your department and site.
Required desirable experience skills and qualifications
UK Driving Licence, knowledge of transport operations and legal compliance.
Duty manager, key holder for a site , risk management (e.g. heath and safety, seasonal planning), organisation & planning, leadership skills, coaching & feedback, stakeholder management, managing and leading a team, working in a customer focused environment, communication skills - verbal and written, IT Skills (Microsoft office), warehousing experience.
