This is an exciting time as you will have an opportunity to assist in the direction of this important national charity as the team is scaled up.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure appropriate infrastructure and configuration management, automation, monitoring, deployment, security and operating systems are in place.

What do we Expect From you:
Ability to set DevOps direction by anticipating technological developments to keep activity relevant and targeted; spotting warning signs of things going wrong and providing a decisive response to delivery challenges; and drawing together and presenting reasonable conclusions from a wide range of incomplete and complex evidence and data - able to act or decide even when details are not clear
Ability to collaborate inventively, generously and responsibly, seeking constructive outcomes in discussions, challenging assumptions but remaining willing to compromise when needed
Exceptional digital DevOps literacy, including operating systems, experience of multiple programming languages, common deployment patterns, continuous integration, capacity planning, load and performance testing techniques, highly-available systems design, administration and tuning of production database systems, installation and usage of monitoring tools; for instance Nagios, Ganglia, Riemann, Graphite, etc; knowledge of configuration, deployment and management of web application stacks; and configuration management tools like Chef or Ansible
Ability to deliver at pace, maintaining effective performance in difficult and challenging circumstances, encouraging others to do the same; reviewing, challenging and adjusting performance levels to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on time
Experience with Amazon Web Services with provisioning, compliance, auditing and security.
