London Councils is a membership organisation of the 32 London boroughs and the City of London. It manages a number of transport services on behalf of its members. These include Freedom Pass; Taxicard; Parking and Lorry Control. Running services which affect Londoners’ everyday lives is a rewarding challenge, and one in which we would like you to play a leading part.
The Freedom Pass and Taxicard schemes offer older and disabled Londoners free or subsidised transport. Working to the chief contracts officer and alongside the mobility services projects and performance team, it will be your job to ensure we and our contractors continually improve our services and successfully manage our budgets.
You will be responsible for developing and improving our customer service offer delivered by both our newly structured in-house team, as well as by our external contractors. Ideally, you will have experience of working with, or a desire to provide, mobility services to older and disabled people, and of motivating and leading staff.
You will be dynamic, articulate, analytical and numerate, and act as an important point of contact, accountable to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including; elected members, boroughs officers, Transport for London and the voluntary and community sector.
