Sightsavers has an exciting opportunity for a Database Support Administrator to work in the Development section of the Global Fundraising team.
Salary: £24,000 per annum full or part time hours working five days per week
The Database Support Administrator role is crucial in helping maintain the Blackbaud CRM (Customer Relationship Management) supporter database. It involves a range of duties from data import and export, direct debit processing, reconciliations and data integrity to the monitoring of data held externally with third parties. This will require a great deal of integrity from the successful candidate whilst handling the data.
Ideally you will have a background in manipulating or cleaning large data sets and have a good understanding of relational databases. Experience of CRM and good knowledge of CRM best practices is important. The successful candidate will be organised and able to show strong time and project management skills. The ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks to tight varying deadlines is key. You will have a resourceful, logical and analytical mind. As a result, you are great at problem solving and finding solutions.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential with the ability to build and maintain relationships. These will include both key external suppliers along with a range of internal teams. You will also be a strong communicator with effective negotiation skills. There is potential for this role to be part time (with a pro rata salary). For example, shorter hours are possible but we will need the successful candidate to be available five days a week.
