Payroll Team Member

Job Description

Using pre-defined OneHR processes and systems deliver a professional, accurate, consistent and high quality service to all internal and external Heathrow Airport Ltd customers and Airport

Principal accountabilities

  • Administer transactional activities associated with all employee lifecycle changes within agreed procedures, service level agreements and timescales
  • To work in close partnership with the wider team, both the BSC and in the business
  • To maintain process updates and document production to agreed schedules and service levels
  • To work with customers and suppliers to resolve service issues and identify improvement opportunities
  • To ensure that all required data is entered into the Oracle systems in a timely, accurate and consistent manner
  • To assist with the daily and monthly statistics of the team in accordance with deadlines
  • Ensuring all employees are correctly recorded on system and payments correctly calculated for all terms and conditions changes
  • Assisting with other payroll duties as and when required
  • Ensuring all employees are correctly recorded on system and payments correctly calculated for all starters and leavers
  • Processing and input of sickness, and statutory payments calculating adjustments where necessary 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Processing P45 using HMRC tax tables to establish accuracy of data, enter P46 details or complete P46 on behalf of employee if necessary
  • Calculating holiday pay, overtime and allowance payments at appropriate rates making adjustments to pay elements for any changes effective mid month
  • Checking and processing of all data received via RMS from locations
  • Carry out the payroll runs and production of standard reports. Reconciliation of reports to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Produce Gross to Net, payslips, BACs files and transfer payroll to General Ledger
  • Carry out supplementary payroll runs as necessary ensuring all controls are maintained and processes followed as for main pay run
  • Calculate and pay prompt payments if necessary ensuring all entries necessary for payment and recovery are made
  • Respond to queries received electronically, verbally or written ensuring an accurate and timely response
